Fun Facts You Might Not now

Napoleean:
Not short!
People think that Napoleean was really short, (they even named a complex after it!) But actually thats only HALF TRUE. Napolean was over 6 feet tall! but people in France in the 1800s were much taller than regular man is today, so 6 feet was actually considered really short at the time!
Turkeys!
New Research in Egypt has shows that the first Turkeys in the world weren't actually wild animals, but were raised by Egyptians for their eggs and food!
So next time you see a Turkey, remember this American icon
bird and meal is actually of Egyptian heritage!
Were We Cave Men?
we have always thought that the first men (and women) in the world lived in caves, but new research from the Khazar University in Azerbaijan shows that first man may have actually lived in trees instead of in caves. Always question your assumptions because people are changing their minds about history all the time. : )

Political Unrest in Honduras Not Effecting Coffee Production

The political and social unrest in Honduras shows no sign of affecting the output of Honduran coffee.
Despite a military coup which ousted Honduran president Manuel Zelaya, and the crackdown on peaceful pro-Zelaya protesters in the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa, Reuters today reported "no immediate sign the unrest would affect production [of coffee]".
In November, the U.S. Government projected that Honduras will produce 4.1 million (60 kilograms) bags of coffee. Coffee exports for 2009 are forecast at 3.6 million 60 kilogram bags.

An American Tragedy

This is the greatest miscarriage of justice in my lifetime, at least. Look at him. Look at Phil Spector. (That's him in the photo). Does he really look like he could hurt anyone? Look at him.
Alright, fine. So, let's say he did kill her. Who was she? What's her name? Exactly. Now, who did OJ Simpson Kill? You knew it: Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. So, OJ gets to kill two people, and Spector doesn't even get one? America needs to support its artists. Genius should not be restrained by the whims of current social mores.
OJ sneaked up on his wife and her buddy Ron. He ambushed them in some fancy Los Angeles alleyway. That was sneaky. This woman that Spector shot, allegedly, she voluntarily went home with him, after voluntarily hanging out with him somewhere else. So, saying he did shoot her in the mouth, which is uncertain, well.. She had been hanging out with him all night. So come on.
As if the guilty verdict isn't bad enough, they denied bail, and he will be in jail now pending his appeal. Why not house arrest with access to a limited number of night clubs, seeing as he will surely be acquitted on appeal? My head hangs low tonight. Once again, the LA legal system has shamed us.

I forgot that I had a blog
I just left a comment for Juanito and had to enter my google email in order to post there (twentyknots). Then I see this pain killer bottle pop up next to my name, and I click on it, and it takes me to this blog. Which is mine. I feel bad for all of my fans who have been waiting for me to post something since 2007.
I have so many interesting thoughts, all the time, that it's hard for me to prioritize them and set them down here. This post, for example, has taken me around 2 hours to write so far, since I am so overwhelmed by my own mental activity.
I have been studying this brilliant woman's blog for direction in all sorts of areas. She has some great ideas about writing style and a very illuminating post on mathmatics. http://www.bukisa.com/people/CambridgeLady
I also want to recommend her "Quality of Life" post, but you see, they are all good. She also hasn't been published yet, so we get to experience someone's work just on the verge of its discovery, which is always a good feeling.
I need to go eat this cheeseburger now, so I will leave you with this thought which I had yesterday: "Today is the last day of your life up until now."
Thank you all for reading. May God bless you, and God bless the Unites States of America.
Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you so much. Good night.

New Perspectives
If the planet earth were a nickle, it would take 119,800 planet earths to purchase an Alpha Romeo Spider in 1960!!!!!!!!!
If a fudge brownie were the size of 1 1/2 football fields, it would weigh 259.29 TONS!!!!!!
If you were to spend all day - every day - reading one page a of a book per minute for 50 years straight without sleeping, you'd read 26,280,000 pages!!!!
There are over 6.6 BILLION people in the whole world!!!!
